The Vanity of Evil
By
Tom Quiner
“Evil
talks about tolerance only when it’s weak. When it gains the upper hand, its
vanity always requires the destruction of the good and the innocent, because
the example of good and innocent lives is an ongoing witness against it.
So it always has been.
So it always will be.
And America has no special
immunity to becoming an enemy of its own founding beliefs about human freedom,
human dignity, the limited power of the state and the sovereignty of God.”
We
are watching evil working overtime for the destruction of the good. The
homosexual movement has no interest in tolerance, only subservience and
surrender of the Church to the whims of the gay lobby.

Can anyone pinpoint a moment in American history when those founding beliefs about human freedom and dignity have actually been achieved? There is a HUGE lack of self awareness in using that quote to defend discrimination against homosexuals.
"The homosexual movement has no interest in tolerance"
BULLSHIT! The Catholic Church seems more tolerant of their gay priests who prey on little boys than they are with their gay and lesbian members!
Ok... This article was quite. .. provoking. May be that is the intent...
Can not agree less to the statements mentioned.

The very word 'bullshit' shows the lack of tolerance exhibited by 'pros' in this 'debate'. Conservatives are 'anti' through conviction, and believe traditional biblical standards in worship should be upheld. Ergo - they are unable in all conscience to accept the rampant march on their values to comply with inclusivity, and cannot accept the diluted biblical interpretation that the glbt community is demanding. And why should they? Worship involves the meeting of like-minded people of the same spiritual convictions. How then would harmony be achieved by railroading their sincerely-held beliefs? Maybe glbt people should form their own churches, worship with people who are wired the same way, and let God decide at the judgment throne. Easier all round.

I do every Sunday with the likes of other Christians who SIN! See you at the mercy seat!
Commenter 5 - we are ALL sinners. Not sure what your point is.

It is too easy to write off and dismiss the progress made toward equality. We can't stop asking, we can't stop seeking, we can't stop knocking on the closed door of INTOLERANCE until we have a society that truly reflects the ideal of TOLERANCE and the ideal equal opportunity for everyone.
Again - 'progress' towards 'equality' is subjective, depending on your viewpoint. Progress by some on this subject is seen as further degeneration by others. This is fact.
The more religious and less tolerant we are the less compassionate and subjective we are. There is room in God for all of us.
More religious and less tolerant do not necessarily go together, and neither do compassionate and subjective. You can be one without necessary partnering the other. Religion is sometimes mistaken for Christianity. They are worlds apart.
