So there were 48 people moved this week (well, their moves were announced and they kick in early next year)…
A few thoughts…
Will the 2013 Yearbook reflect these moves or will it be obsolete from its date of publication? We expect it will reflect the moves. We hope so.

I once heard a retired senior leader suggest that one of the main roles of the general is to pick the next generation of leaders.
It seems from these moves (and, we anticipate, from an imminent set involving India and the Americas) that General Bond has and is picking the next generation of leaders for The Salvation Army.
Since her term apparently ends in about a year and a half or so (bit more?) this set of moves (and, if there is an Indian/American one, that one) may be seen as Bond putting her stamp on The Salvation Army. What is her leadership legacy (in terms of her choices for leadership)?
It’s too early to say. There seems to be a European and African and Kiwi emphasis. And we’ll leave it at that for now (maybe tune in after the next set of moves or coming up to the next high council… actually, stay tuned in daily between now and then, anyway – actually, between now and when Jesus comes back, all being well).

It could be coincidental that four Americans transferred from IHQ.
One thing I love about Americans in The Salvation Army (and this generalization my offend those who are exceptions to it- sorry) is that you can count on them theologically. They are very conservative. And they’ve been very conservative for a long time. You can depend on them being very conservative in a long time.
Now, whether you appreciate positions that are very conservative or not, you can appreciate knowing that this position is consistent over time.

I do (even though we’ve been accused of being extremely liberal on some points, hilariously, from our perspective, since we’ve also been commended for putting the ‘fun’ back in fundamentalism).
